The World’s First Combined Water Ski, Wakeboard and Barefoot Championship
It would be first time in the history that a combined global tournament in water skis, wakeboard and barefoot will be held in one magnificent event. This combined tournament will be participated by over nine Australasian Federations and more than 150 international skiers.
From December 8 to December 10, 2006, the Mulwala Water Ski Club will host the said combined championship tournament on Twin Lakes Mulwala, New South Wales. This place is likewise prominent for its remarkable ambiance and fantastic weather with the usual temperature of 29.7C during the month of December.
Along with the Mulwala Water Ski Club, this event is being organized by the Victorian Water Ski Federation and promoted by the Australian Water ski & Wakeboard Federation. The official boat supplier of the first ever combined tournament is Malibu.
The water ski, wakeboard and barefoot tournaments are open for both men and women who are members of any affiliated association of the IWSF. There will be an admission fee of AU$175.00 per skier that will cover the cost of the official familiarization sets, lunch on tournament days and Sunday evening banquet.
A team must be composed of not more than six skiers wherein only a maximum of four men or four women is allowed for each team. The rules of the tournament will be based on the IWSF Technical Rules for Tournament, Wakeboard & Barefoot.
