The 8th World Disabled Water Ski Championships

The 8th World Disabled Water Ski Championships will take place on May 14-20, 2007 at Thuringowa Riverway parkland that is located in Townsville, North Queensland, Australia. This event is expected to be joined by over 80 competitors from 15 countries worldwide.

There will be 3 standard water ski events that can be participated by disabled water skiers such as Slalom where in sit skiers utilize a narrow slalom course, Tricks and Jump. Disabled water skiers will be categorized into Sit Skiers, Single Leg Amputees, Skiers with an arm Disability, Vision Impaired Skiers and Arm/Leg Impairment Skiers.

The 8th World Disabled Water Ski Championships is being presented by Thuringowa City Council along with Australian Water Ski and Wakeboard Federation, Thuringowa Riverway Parkland and IWSF. Complete information can be found at the official website of the 8th World Disabled Water Ski Championships.
