The professional water ski event of the year will be held in the magical water of Lake Buenavista inside the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. The finals of this prestigious event will start on September 13 and 16, 2006. In lieu of this event, the MasterCraft boat company announced that Disney will offer a discounted rate for the U.S. Open Waterskiing officials, participants, staff and even audiences that would like to stay at Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside Resort during the event.

This is also the first large-scale ski tournament that will be held at night. The event will be filled by beautiful lighting display by Disney and music from House of Blues. Aside from this, the 2006 US Open will be also aired through the free live webcast that will be available at the website US Open to serve those water ski enthusiasts that can not make it to the 30,000 seats of the said tournament.
