The 2006 Barefoot Skiers
The selected Barefoot Skiers for the year 2006 were Ashleigh Stebbings from Australia and Keith St. Onge from the United States. IWSF has chosen Ashleigh Stebbings as the female barefoot skier of the year because of her outstanding contribution to their National Team where she got the highest points scored to both overall Junior and Open teams. Aside from this, Stebbings grabbed a total of 8 World Title medals: 3 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze.
On the other hand IWSF has chosen Keith St. Onge as the male barefoot skier of the year because of his very impressive performances for this year. Keith consistently landed in the first place for all the rounds of slalom and tricks he participated that also make him as the Overall World Champion. Keith likewise set the new World Record for slalom at 20.6 points
