Ski Race Events Around The World
Water ski race just like water ski tournaments are numerous and being held around the world annually. Countries like Austria, USA, Great Britain, Belgium, Australian, New Zealand and even EAME region are the regular participants in various water ski races.
Classic water ski races include the Southern 80 Ski Race in Australia, the Super Ski Race of Montreal in Canada, Catalina Ski Race in the USA, Sydney Bridge to Bridge in Australia, Grafton Bridge to Bridge in Australia and Diamond Race in Belgium.
The Southern 80 Ski Race is said to be the most participated race in the world where the racers’ speed reach up to 120 mph along Murray River in Victoria Australia. The Super Race of Montreal is a unique 140 km ski marathon from St. Lawrence River all the way to the port of arrival in Longueuil.
The Catalina Ski race on the other hand is tagged as the greatest water ski race since 1949. The ski racers are towed by powerful boats from Catalina Island to Long Beach. The Sydney Bridge to Bridge and Grafton Bridge to Bridge which are both held in Australia are another classic big water ski race that are participated by ski racers around the world. And the last but not the least is the Diamond Race in Belgium which is known as the most gruelling water ski race of all that takes place in the Alber Canal in the historic Antwerp.
