Retired Skier Will Compete Once More

— August 20, 2007

Kristi Overton-Johnson, a water skier from the United States who formally announced her retirement in skiing last 2005 will soon be seen competing again. This news is confirmed by Frank Harrison, the U.S. Elite Water Ski Team Manager.

Kristi who won Masters’ slalom title way back 2002 will compete for women’s slalom category in the upcoming 2007 Water Ski World Championships that will be held on August 27 to September 2 in Linz, Austria. She was among the qualified independent competitors for 2007 World Championships based on Kristi’s ranking as women’s world slalom record holder.

Wow! perhaps Kristi really missed the excitement of slalom competition. So welcome back Kristi and we wish you all the best!
