Purchasing Water Ski Pylon For The First Time

— December 6, 2006

Water ski pylon is the pole installed in the boat where you attached the other end of the rope that you will hold when you are skiing on the water. And if its your first time to purchase a ski pylon, these are the things that you should consider when shopping for a water ski pylon:

Prefer those ski pylons that are 6 inches tall or higher and has an extension or can be extended because taller and extendable pylon is easier to manuever and are more versatile. Check if the pylon can support your weight and the rest of the people you bring along when you ski. Likewise, prefer the pylon with cable support which can be any or all cable support like over center buckle, bow strap and hook.

Select only pylon brands that are known for durability with both simple mounting and dismantling procedures so that you could install and dismantle it in just an hour or less without using any special device. Check if the pylon you chose has all the screw, nuts and bolts you needed for installation. Remember that good water ski pylon needs not to be the most expensive brand but the one that can serve all your required specification to ski better and safer. Prioritize the durability and functionality when shopping for a water ski pylon.
