More Tips For Novice Water Skiers
Novice water skiers at some point during their training get confused on what technique to follow. This is not unusual because with so many experts in the field of water skiing, the techniques to learn are so numerous. But it is said that every skier needs to develop their own water skiing technique.
And developing a technique really takes time because the novice skier is still on the process of learning and they are just about to discover the position or style that suits them. The important thing to remember when the skier is developing his/her own technique is that to pattern it to the general principle of proper skiing.
This will ensure that the technique that the skier will develop later on is according to the generally accepted water skiing style which is known to be safe and effective. Here are some of the basic principles that are worth considering when you want to develop your skill in water skiing:
Push your ski in front of you because it will hurt once your ski went behind. Always keep your head and your upper body still and keep your head away from your front foot. Whenever possible, allow your legs go up and down underneath you and have your handles so that your middle knuckle will rest on the top of your butt.
Keep your shoulders square to the boat and have your eyes follow your every move and remember that the faster you go, the more drive you need into your back hand. And remember to take it easy because you will learn faster if you are having fun!
