IWSF Announced Disabled Skiers Of The Year

The IWSF Councils have chosen Gerda Pamler of Germany and Giancarlo Cosio of Italy as the Disabled Athletes of the Year 2006. Gerda is a female skier who set a new World Record in slalom as she competed for two consecutives EAME Euro Tour this summer in Feldberg Germany and Recetto, Italy. It was Gerda’s first time to compete for Jump this year and amazingly obtained the 3rd place on the female EAME Standing List.

On the other hand, Giancarlo Cosio which came from Italy joined 3 EAME Euro Tour this year and at the same time breaks the world record for three times in his slalom category.  Giancarlo also joined the Euro Tour and the EAME Championships in tricks with increasing scores each time he compete.
