Blind Water Skier Fight Against Windermere Lake Speed Limit
Gerald Price, a 74 year-old blind water skier who set a world record for blind water skiing as he skimmed across Windermere at 46.2mph stand against the controversial speed limit imposed by the Lake District National Park Authority (LDNPA) in the Lake District of Windermere. The said bylaw was enforced to restore the tranquility of Windermere Lake.
However, Price said that he will be compelled to file legal action against the said ruling. Gerald Price who is supported by Keep Windermere Alive Association (KWAA) believes that water skiing is one of most user-friendly sports for disabled people and that the 10mph limit breaches human rights laws as it hamper the chances for them to achieve further records and achievements in their water sports recreation.

Great job price of going 46mph. I’ve never done that and I’m not blind. Keep up you fight. 10mph is ridiculous on a lake that is big enough to ski on. I support you Price, and encourage you to go faster.

Think it is brilliant and the correct thing to do. Enjoy the ski. Wish I could be there to support.
Wh*t a bunch of sly, selfish idiots the authorities are. It beggers belief what they have done. They should be banned from Cumbria.
