Asher Won His 6th Major Victory Of 2008

— September 22, 2008

Congratulations to British Water Skier Will Asher for bagging his 6th major victory of 2008. He won the final stop of the 2008 MasterCraft Pro Tour which was held at Diablo Shores in Brentwood, California last September 20 and 21. Asher beat Nick Parsons and Jamie Beauchesne, both great water skiers from the United States to make his way all the through the final against the former World Champion Geoff Rogers.

Will Asher successfully achieved the second best score in the world in 2008 by running 5 buoys on the 10.25 meter line to back up his 1 buoy on the shorter 9.75 meter rope. He was able to accomplish the top seed all through the rounds and consistently put his opponent on the water first which allowed him to know the score he need to surpass. Former World Champion Geoff Rogers set a score of 4.00 at 10.75m and Asher was up the task as he rounded buoy five and ski back to the wake for the final win.

Asher likewise won the US Masters, Malibu Open, European Championship titles, and other Pro Tour titles this 2008. More power to Will Asher!
